In 1973 singer Joy had already quit the group and Ken Traylor had joined instead. As Joy Unlimited consisted of highly talented and accepted musicians, they were offered an appointment for another ballet work, this time at the Mannheim Nationaltheater. The final result of this project was the album 'Reflections'. As the Pilz label did not exist any more, the LP was released on BASF. According to the Freeman brothers it is redolent of Raw Material and Gravy Train. There are to be heard jazz, blues, and a few folk influences, the thread through the work, however, is progressive rock. With flute, saxophone, and a lot of keyboard sounds. A Russian bootleg CD was released in 2004, with a fusty sound and without any bonus tracks. This legal release now contains ten bonus tracks, two from their 1972 single and eight as yet unreleased tracks from 1971 and 1972, all of them of a crystal-clear sound quality.
