The debut album of the German progressive rock band STREETMARK digitally remastered!
Founded in 1969, at the height of flower power, the band initially toured live for years. The original line-up when 'Nordland' was created was Georg Buschmann (vocals), Dorothea Raukes (keyboards), Thomas Schreiber (guitars), Hans Sweat (drums) and Wolfgang Westphal (bass). Bernd Schreiber, in the beginning as the second guitarist in the band, switched to the mixing desk and was later co-producer of the album. With a few exceptions (see Eleanor Rigby or Italian Concert in rock or other passages in the pieces), STREETMARK played their own compositions, which were rocky at the time. The songs were not only subliminally influenced by classical music. Thomas and Dorothea were both able to fall back on a classical education and were able to implement the musical ideas appropriately. This is clearly expressed in the album`s solos.
