Jürgen Pluta studied music and sports and played in local bands since his school days, performing various genres of music – from beat to rock to blues. The desire to become a professional musician was always deeply rooted in him. So, in 1973, he followed Jürgen Dollase's call and joined the “Krautrock band” Wallenstein. Jürgen Pluta remained with the band as bassist for five years and recorded two albums with Wallenstein: “Stories, Songs & Symphonies” (1975, released on Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser's “Kosmische Musik” label) and “No More Love” (RCA, 1977). Pluta's next stop was the Düsseldorf band Streetmark, with whom he recorded the album “Dry” (Sky Records) in 1979 and went on tour. However, before finally devoting himself to his plans for his first solo work, he toured with the German Krautrock pioneers Embryo.
