At Sing-Three-Birds is a three-(wo)man acoustic band – the Quirky-Birds-Acoustic-Trio, so to speak – with more instruments on stage than they can handle at the same time. It's immediately apparent that the band's greatest love is the guitar, in this case the acoustic one, with all its tonal facets. They add a shy drum set, a bass, vocals, a sporadic flute, some lonely electric guitar and, last but not least, the mighty mellotron, which unfailingly evokes that distinctive 70s sound.
The album was recorded at the renowned Noble Sound Studios near Frankfurt. The sound is superb and the songs wonderful, of course. Perhaps you can detect some of the band's numerous role models, such as CSNY or Jonathan Wilson. Or, to stick to the Krautrock genre, Wunderwald or Hölderlin.
