Yet another live document of the early-'70s Mothers incarnation that included vocalists Flo and Eddie of the Turtles (FILLMORE EAST 1971 covers the same time period). JUST ANOTHER BAND is probably the closest Zappa and company ever came to putting music second to comedy. Naturally, the musicianship is stellar as usual, but extended instrumental passages are virtually non-existent, replaced by Flo and Eddie's harmonies, delivering some howlingly funny lyrics. The centerpiece is the (originally) side-long 'Billy the Mountain,' a comic conceptual tour de force.
