Kalemegdan Disk Release Information
In 1972 and 1973 Amiga, the monopoly record company of the German Democratic Republic (GDR or DDR) released a unique series of 12 LPs titled Hallo Nr. 1 – Hallo Nr. 12. These LPs presented mainly new and innovative East German rock bands before they released an own album (if they released one at all) and bands from the brother countries Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Soviet Union, which mostly already had there first album(s) out.
The East German part was a mixture of bands who became popular during the years to come like Electra, Lift, Die Puhdys, Klaus Renft-Combo or Stern-Combo Meissen, later “medium-sized” bands like Bayon, Gruppe Jürgen Kerth or Panta Rhei and many totally unknown bands. The share of the bands from abroad contained mainly the top acts of these countries like Breakout, Marek Grechuta & Anawa and Skaldowie from Poland, Blue Effect, Pavol Hammel & Prudy and Vaclav Necka↓ Show more |
