Heavy bluesrock-guitarist John Nitzinger, born in 1968 in Fort Wlorth / Texas, recorded two singles, 'Plastic Window' and 'Life Of John Doe', which were produced by famous US musician, songwriter and record producer T-Bone Burnett. In 1970 Nitzinger started to pen songs for US hard rock band Bloodrock. When the album 'Bloodrock 2' went gold in the US, John Nitzinger signed a solo-contract with Capitol Records. In the 1980s Nitzinger formed the band PM with ELP's Carl Palmer and released the album '1:PM' on Ariola Records. Two years later he joined Alice Cooper, co-writing and performing Cooper's 'Zipper Catches Skin' among others. Nitzinger went on hiatus for a couple of years and returned to recording again in 1997. Four years later Nitzinger and his band played the 'Rockpalast'. John still remembers: 'It was a great and responsive crowd. I gave a Nitzinger T-shirt to a small child who seemed to love it.” In 2007, Nitzinger released the noteworthy and critically acclaimed album “Kiss Of The Mudman” and in 2012 he wrote new songs and completed two albums – “Bloodrock 2013” with Bloodrock lead vocalist Jim Rutledge and “Revenge” with former AC/DC lead singer Dave Evans. A 90-minute DVD documentary, “Nitzinger - Tears From There To Here”, was released at the same time.
Mit den Barons veröffentlichte der texanische Gitarrist John Nitzinger Mitte der 1960-er Jahre ein paar Singles für ein kleineres Label in seiner Heimatstadt Fort Worth. Ab 1968 war Nitzinger zum ersten Mal solo unterwegs, mit dem damals auch noch recht jungen T-Bone Burnett als Produzenten nahm er die Singles 'Plastic Window' und 'Life Of John Doe' auf. 1970 begann Nitzinger Songs für die US-Hardrock-Band Bloodrock zu schreiben. Als das Album 'Bloodrock 2' in den USA Goldstatus erreichte, bekam John Nitzinger einen Solo-Vertrag bei Capitol Records angeboten. In den 1980er Jahren gründete Nitzinger mit dem Schlagzeuger Carl Palmer von ELP die Band PM und veröffentlichte das Album '1:PM' auf Ariola Records. Zwei Jahre später schloss er sich dem Tourtross von Alice Cooper an, schrieb Songs für Coopers 'Zipper Catches Skin' und spielte auf diesem Album auch die Gitarren ein. Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen musste Nitzinger eine längere Auszeit nehmen und kehrte erst 1997 mit der Veröffentlichung seines Longplayers „Didja Miss Me?“ auf die Rockbühnen dieser Welt zurück. Vier Jahre später trat Nitzinger mit seiner großartig eingespielten Band im 'Rockpalast' auf. John erinnert sich noch gut daran: 'Es war ein großartiges und sehr aufgeschlossenes Publikum. Ich verschenkte ein Nitzinger-T-Shirt an ein kleines Kind, das sich darüber zu freuen schien.' 2007 veröffentlichte Nitzinger das von den Kritikern hochgelobte Album 'Kiss Of The Mudman', schrieb in der Zwischenzeit viele neue Songs und veröffentlichte 2013 die Alben 'Bloodrock 2013' mit Bloodrock-Sänger Jim Rutledge und 'Revenge' mit dem ehemaligen AC/DC-Sänger Dave Evans. Gleichzeitig produzierte er eine 90-minütige DVD-Dokumentation, 'Nitzinger - Tears From There To Here'. |
